Make An Appointment:  

We are here for you and we really want to help. We understand that an unplanned pregnancy can be a stressful experience, and we are here to help relieve some of that stress and help you figure out what to do next.
 
The first thing you need to do is find out if you are really pregnant. As soon as your period is a day late, you can get a free pregnancy test at Heartline. You do need an appointment for a pregnancy test. This appointment will take approximately 30 minutes. You can call 574-267-5110 to schedule one right now.

What is an appointment like?
  • First, our Nurse Manager will go over a basic information sheet with you.
  • Next, you will be given a urine pregnancy test. 
  • We will take time to understand where you are coming from and help you sort through your options.
  • We will provide you with information and many resources to help you know what to do next.
 
Do I need to bring anything with me?
  • No, you do not need to bring anything for a pregnancy test appointment.
 
Can I bring someone with me?
  • Yes, you are more than welcome to bring someone with you to this appointment.
  • Whomever you bring with you will be asked to sit in the waiting room until we have a test result, but we will bring them into the testing room as soon as you would like after that.
 
Does it Cost anything?
  • No, our pregnancy tests are offered free of charge.
 
When will I get the results?
  • You will receive the results prior to leaving our office.
  • The test requires a 5 minute waiting period before we can give you an accurate result, but that is all the waiting you will have to do.
 
What if I do not want anyone to know about this?
  • Everything that happens at Heartline is confidential. Nothing that you tell a staff member or a volunteer will leave the building.
  • We do not release information to parents, boyfriends, or anyone else without your permission.
 
What if I am pregnant?
  • The Heartline staff is here for you. We can provide the verification you need for medical assistance and various social agencies.
  • Heartline has good ties with numerous social agencies in the area and can refer you to the right person to help you out.
